Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja on Wednesday instructed his department of town and country (DTCP) to establish special teams and create cost estimates to finish the inadequate infrastructure work across 11 privately-owned colonies. This move will help speed up the transfer of these colonies as announced by was announced by the Haryana chief minister made public in the year 2017.
MCG officials have said that 8 of the colonieseight of them – Mayfield Garden, Malibu Towne Sushant Lok-2 and 3 Greenwood City, Rosewood City, Vipul World and Uppal Housing have given their permission to be taken over by the company but they haven’t yet received the consent from Ardee City and DLF-4 and 5.
“Executive engineers visit these colonies and conduct a survey in order to find infrastructure issues. They will then prepare colony-wise inventories and present their findings to DTCP director. MCG will then request the department to redirect funds from the owners for these colonies to the corporate in order to finish the work prior to it takes over the area,” MCG chief town planner Madhusmita Moitra Singh told TOI.
