A mathematical branch that is similar to arithmetic is Algebra and it employs the four operations in arithmetic i.e. division, addition (+) subtraction (-), multiplication(*) and division (/). You might be wondering what is the difference between these two? However, there is a distinct difference, Algebra introduces a new element, a component of the unknowable, this unidentified element is called the term “variable. Variables are identified through the using letters. The letters represent unknowable quantities , and permit formulas to be written and applying them in a general manner. Therefore, Algebra is a language of mathematics that can be used in solving a specific mathematics-related problem in a simpler method.
